Thank you Cards vs. Thank you emails
I have always been a believer in thank you cards vs the thank you email. When I used to interview I always made sure my thank you was in the mail the next day. It demonstrates to me that the extra effort was made to find out their address, buy the thank you cards and put it in the mail. A friend of mine had an interview with a media company the other day. She also likes to write a thank you card and drop it into the mail. She received an email the following day from the recruiter asking her why she did not follow up properly with a thank you email. Can you believe that the people that interviewed her were offended that my friend did not thank them immediately with an email? Have we really gotten to the point where a quick email is what is expected?
